for recreational boaters. One
of the missions the Auxiliary provides is the Vessel Safety
Check program. This free safety check of your vessel by highly
skilled and certified Coast Guard Auxiliary personal could save your

The Vessel Safety Check is a
free complimentary check of your boat conducted by members of the Auxiliary.
The purpose is to confirm
that your boat meets both federal and state requirements for safety.
There is nothing to fear, there are No tickets or warnings issued, this is a
Public Knowledge service that could also save you money on your boater's

What will our vessel examiners be looking for?

All of these items are currently required by state and federal laws
and, if missing or non-operating, can result in a citation if your
vessel is inspected by the Coast Guard at a later date. The Vessel
Safety Check gives you a risk-free way to check that you meet the
legal minimums and to assure you have a safe vessel for boating
with family and friends. |
